Biography
Gayle "Tank" Tackett performed with the Newsmen in the late 1960s. He also played bass guitar for the Gospel Harmony Boys from 1969-1971. He was a member of the Envoys in the mid-1970s and pulled stints with several other groups over the years including the Tribunes, The Goffs, the Rebels, the Weatherfords, the Plainsmen, and the Songfellows Quartet. He briefly sang tenor for the Statesmen in 1993.
