Allison Durham Speer

Allison Durham grew up on a farm in central Kentucky. She accepted Christ as a youth. Her interest in music was fueled by listening to the only two LPs she owned: Keith Green's So You Wanna Go Back To Egypt? and the Gaither Trio's We Are Persuaded.

In time, Allison married Brian Speer (son of Brock and Faye Speer of the famous Speer Family). She was featured on Bill & Gloria Gaither's Homecoming videos and tours, and released several solo recordings. Later, Allison became known as a stand-up comedienne and bible teacher.

In 2008, Allison started the GodSong Music Academy, a four-day event held annually in Nashville, Tennessee. She has traveled extensively doing mission work including trips to Russia and Bosnia with Christian relief organization International Aid and to The Philippines with the American Leprosy Mission.

In 2018, Brian and Allison launched the New Speer Family to carry on the legacy of the famous group.
