Nathan Kistler (January 9, 1990 - July 26, 2024)

Biography

Nathan Kistler filled in with the Hoppers during the mid-2010s while Connie Hopper was off the road and during that time also sang tenor and recorded an album with the Hopper Brothers 2.0. He later married Amber Thompson of the Nelons and launched a ministry in Washington, DC. Although he was not a full-time member of the Nelons, he occasionally performed duets with Amber at their events.

In July of 2024, Nathan and Amber, Amber's parents Jason and Kelly Clark, their assistant Melodi Hodges, airplane pilot Larry Haynie, and Haynie's wife Melissa tragically lost their lives in a plane crash in Wyoming. They were enroute to Seattle, Washington to participate in a Gaither Homecoming cruise to Alaska.
