Biography

Joe Isaacs was an important figure in Southern Gospel music, both as a performer and a songwriter. He was indeed a founding member of The Isaacs, a group that has gained widespread recognition for its rich harmonies and blend of Southern Gospel, Bluegrass, and Country influences.

After his personal experience of conversion following his uncle's funeral, Joe formed Joe Issacs And The Calvary Mountain Boys, a group that initially focused on traditional bluegrass gospel music. His passion for spreading the gospel through song led him to write many Southern Gospel classics, and his contributions to the genre have left a lasting legacy.

In addition to his work with The Isaacs, he has also written numerous songs that continue to resonate with fans of gospel and bluegrass music. His musical journey reflects a deep commitment to his faith and to sharing that message with others through music.
