Hovie Walker (December 26, 1949 - March 24, 2017)

Biography

Hovie Walker sang bass for the Singing Americans from 1973-1977, the Plainsmen in 1980, the Thrasher Brothers, Monitors Quartet, and Willie Wynn And The Tennesseans. He also traveled with pop/rock singer/songwriter Leon Russell.

Walker was initially announced as the bass singer for the re-formed Prophets in 2006, but never performed with that group. He also sang with his wife Sondra.

Walker passed away in 2017 after suffering a heart attack.
