Gospel Lads (1967-present) (sometimes billed as The Lads)
Murray Hollis, George Melton, Pete Ingraham, and Mel Taylor formed the Gospel Lads in 1967 in southern California. The group was part-time initially, scheduling their appearances around their jobs. They relocated to Joplin, Missouri and upgraded to full-time at the beginning of 1971, joining Revival Fires Ministry which was broadcasted on television to more than 150 affiliate markets. The group parted ways with Revival Fires in 1974 to tour full-time on their own.
The Gospel Lads stopped touring full-time in 1986. At the same time, the group was reorganized, reuniting several members who had been in the group during the 1970s. They reduced their tour schedule to just five weeks per year and continued the ministry. They later formed Christian Friends Connexion, a ministry that assisted churches in crisis.
As of 2014, the Gospel Lads were continuing to operate with the limited touring schedule of 5 weeks per year. By that point, their line-up included a female singer, Tammy Cady, daughter of founding member Murray Hollis.
