History

In the late 1950s, Wally Fowler transferred ownership of the Oak Ridge Quartet name to the group members to settle a debt. Some time later, he began to use the Oak Ridge Quartet name again. His previous group ultimately filed a lawsuit forcing Fowler to abandon the name. Fowler recorded several albums as Wally Fowler And The Oak Ridge Quartet during this time period. The history and personnel of some of these recordings is unclear.
