Ralph Green

Biography

Ralph Green was the lead singer of the All American Quartet in Quincy, Illinois in 1953 and 1954. Ralph formed the The Melody Makers Quartet, near St. Louis, in 1955. After The Melody Makers disbanded in the early sixties, Ralph formed the Sons of Harmony. Ralph began a solo music ministry in 1977. He later joined Reunion, a group which included Tommy Fairchild. In 2006 Ralph and former Reunion member, Jerry Tomlinson helped form Southern Tradition. Early in his career he sang with Barney Barrow and the Victory Quartet.

Awards

The Mid-America Gospel Music Association presented Ralph its Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007.
