Septimus Winner (May 11, 1827 - November 22, 1902)

Biography

Septimus Winner was a 19th century compser. In addition to using his own name he also wrote under various pen-names including Alice Hawthorne, Percy Guyer, Mark Mason, Apsley Street, and Paul Stenton.

His most famous gospel composition was Whispering Hope, which was published under the Hawthorne pseudonym.
